ten years of ageing
Amarone Riserva DECEM
It is born in a wooden vat, spends its youth in amphora, becomes mature in a small barrel, and as an adult you find it in a bottle.
AMARONE RISERVA DECENNIUM-DECEM
Decem means ten in Latin, like the years of ageing that this great Amarone receives before being bottled.
The pride of my winery is DECEM, the perfect union between amphora and wood, a meeting of two different ageing styles, skilfully brought together after years of careful experimentation.
A long and meticulous process that gives life to a truly unique Amarone. From its intense aromas to its harmonious yet decisive body, bold and distinctive, it is a wine that is never ordinary, persistent and elegant, as great Amarone wines know how to be.
The art
Produced in the most important vintages.
Blend of the finest grapes from the most suitable vineyards.
Vines personally cultivated, using my own techniques and respecting Nature as much as possible. Natural withering without air conditioners to increase the breadth and importance of the wine. Vinified in wooden vats with manual punch-downs. Pressed with an old manual press. Aged in amphora and then in barrels for a total of about ten years.
Bottled with great care and refined for about one year in the bottle.
Released on the market no earlier than 10 years after the harvest.
